Quarterly Donation

Each quarter, WSB employees contribute $10 each for the privilege of wearing jeans on Fridays.

WSB then donates this money to a different charity each quarter. WSB is proud to have donated thousands of dollars in support of animal rescue services, homeless shelters, medical research groups, elderly care providers, environmental advocates and many other worthy causes.

Current Donation: Washington Speakers Bureau partnered with The Junior League of Galveston County, Inc. in its mission to support the Rebuilding of Galveston County after the devastating effects of Hurricane Ike to the Texas Gulf Coast region.

The Junior League of Galveston County, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. The League is a 501C-3 charity and all of its volunteer and fundraising efforts stay within the Galveston County community.

The community projects that will directly benefit the survivors of Hurricane Ike include a scholarship program for high school seniors affected by the storm, our Community Assistance Fund and our Adopt-a-School Program. A school that was adopted for the current academic year, San Leon Elementary, was devastated. The faculty, students and their families now need assistance more than ever.

Q4: For Quarter 4's Jeans Donation, WSB is joining with our parent company Omnicom to support the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund.

This fund will serve as an umbrella organization for the three special funds established by Governors of Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi and will focus on collecting donations to assist in the long-term recovery plan for the states affected by this terrible tragedy.

Omnicom assisted in the creation of the fund, and already contributed $3 million. WSB staffers are using the Jeans Donation to contribute individually, and WSB will match all donations to the fund.
