America Needs More "C Students": A Collection of "C" Words That Bring Out Greatness

When the 21st century rolled around, educational reformers and writers started to anticipate what would be needed by our future learners. After many studies and meetings of the most powerful minds in education, they ended up with a phrase called,  “The 4 C’s of the 21st Century Learner."

  • Collaboration
  • Communication
  • Creativity
  • Critical Thinking

Sadly, there is not a magic wand that will deliver this skill set to kiddos or adults and they’re not necessarily teachable skills when taught in isolation. Tal takes participants on a ride through the collection of "C's" that we missed! Confidence, Connections, Catalysts, Communities, and Compassion to name a few. Participants will see that without the strong development and emphasis on these C's, we will never get the results we strive for. Our students will not be best equipped unless we develop moire "C Students!"

Hall of Fame Leadership

Every administrator wants to be the best they can be and serve their staff at the highest levels. Hall of Fame refers to the best of the best. We need to celebrate the traits that make administrators Hall of Fame worthy. This talk will inspire the audience to "level up" their leadership toolbox. Participants will be ignited to add "Hall of Fame" traits to their leadership style. The focus will be on practical strategies and methods that can be taken back to their workplace and implemented immediately.

Meet Tal Thompson

Award winning teacher, Tal Thompson pulls from his experience in education to take his audience on an emotional and humorous journey through how to cultivate confidence. He identifies it’s enemy - False Confidence explaining what causes it, why it is wreaking havoc on America, and how to replace false confidence with true earned confidence. Tal is a cultivator of confidence, an innovator in the workplace, and a believer that all things can change if you embrace adversity.

America’s Top Teacher Finalist and South Carolina Citizen Education Teach of the Year, Tal Thompson takes the lessons learned working with children and translates them in a way that will inspire positive and productive changes in people of all ages. Tal’s message starts with the powerful shifts that occur as the emphasis is put on cultivating confidence within an organization. “False Confidence” destroys innovation and growth.  Instilling earned and real confidence is the key to productivity and success. The real world needs people that can collaborate effectively with their peers, have the passion and desire to creatively solve problems, critically think through the most complex situations and effectively communicate with each other.  The real world needs people with… CONFIDENCE… EARNED CONFIDENCE! Without earned confidence, people cannot effectively do any of these things. As a speaker, Tal will ignite and unleash the potential in children and adults alike.  Participants leave inspired to produce change, upgrade their level of production, and aid others in reaching their true potential greatness.
