Politics, the Presidency and the Press

Mary Matalin offers an exclusive, expert look inside the world of politics. She enlightens audiences on current events in Washington and around the world, the behind-the-scenes process of political campaigns and the role of the press. Matalin is known for her humor and straightforward discussion of the day’s hottest political issues.

All’s Fair: Love, War and Politics

One of America’s best-loved political couples—James Carville and Mary Matalin—give audiences an enlightening and entertaining look at today’s most important political issues as well as a behind-the-scenes look at politics inside Washington and how today’s headlines are playing out around the country. Co-authors of the national best seller All’s Fair: Love, War, and Running for President, Matalin and Carville are key players on the national political stage—they each have over 30 years of experience in politics and have individually worked for Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush. They combine their unique experiences to provide audiences with a stimulating, candid and provocative conversation from both sides of the political aisle.

Both Sides Now with Mary Matalin and Arianna Huffington

In a presentation inspired by their nationally syndicated radio show Both Sides Now, CNN Analyst and former Presidential Advisor Mary Matalin  and Huffington Post Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief Arianna Huffington analyze the inside, outside and all sides of the headlines shaping today’s conversations. Two of the most savvy—and prominent—women in politics and the media today, Matalin and Huffington have a passionate yet respectful discussion on politics, policy and culture in a way where ideas rather than insults are traded. While they have sharply different views on regulation, foreign policy, the economy and electoral politics, they also share a convergence on many issues in this lively presentation on the challenges both today and tomorrow that are facing America and the world.

Meet Mary Matalin

Mary Matalin’s pull-no-punches discussion is informed by a career spent in the trenches as a political strategist and a trusted advisor to America’s most powerful conservative leaders.

One of the country’s foremost Republican political strategists and commentators, Mary Matalin is admired for her astute insights, intellectual integrity and her straight-talking, no-nonsense take on the hot-button issues and political headlines of the day. Matalin is a political veteran who served as deputy campaign manager on President George H. W. Bush’s 1992 re-election bid and who was later assistant to President George W. Bush and counselor to Vice President Dick Cheney. Matalin is a frequent guest on many of the network and cable news shows where she brings her outspoken views on Congress, the Obama Administration and the future of the Republican Party. Besides being the co-author of All’s Fair, a national best seller written with her husband, noted political commentator James Carville, she’s also the author of Letters to My Daughters and co-starred on HBO's critically acclaimed series, K Street, produced by George Clooney. Matalin and Carville are now working on their second joint memoir entitled, You Can Go Home Again, to be published in 2014. In addition to co-hosting the nationally-syndicated Both Sides Now radio program with Arianna Huffington, Matalin also runs Threshold, a conservative publishing division of Simon & Schuster.
